1. THE DETECTION OF UNREVEALED ANGER.
“In your anger do not sin…” v 26a
2. THE DANGER OF UNRESOLVED ANGER.
“‘In your anger do not sin’: Do not let the sun go down while you
are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.’” v 26-27
“Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads
only to evil.” Psalm 37:8
3. THE DISPLAY OF UNRESTRAINED ANGER.
“Fools give full vent to their rage…” Prov. 29:11
“A quick-tempered person does foolish things…” Prov. 14:17a
“…one who is quick-tempered displays folly.” Prov. 14:29b
“Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in
the lap of fools.” Ecclesiastes 7:9
“Hatred stirs up conflict…” Prov. 10:12a
“A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict…” Prov. 15:18a
“An angry person stirs up conflict…” Prov. 29:22a
“…a harsh word stirs up anger.” Prov. 15:1

4. THE DEMOLITION OF UNRELEASED ANGER.
Approach Anger Slowly.
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone
should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become
angry” James 1:19
Address Anger Quickly.
“…Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry” v26b
“See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that
no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”
