“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
To Look For Lost People, I Must:
1. KNOW WHEN TO LOOK FOR LOST PEOPLE.
“Then Jesus told them this parable: ‘Suppose one of you has a
hundred sheep and loses one of them…Or suppose a woman has ten
silver coins and loses one…Not long after that, the younger son got
together all he had, set off for a distant country…’” v 3-4, 8, 13
2. KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR LOST PEOPLE.
“Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to
hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,
‘This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.’” v 1-2
“Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after
the lost sheep until he finds it…Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the
house and search carefully until she finds it…’But while he was still
a long way off, his father saw him…” v 4, 8, 20
3. KNOW HOW TO LOOK FOR LOST PEOPLE.
- I Must Make A Purposeful Search.
“Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go
after the lost sheep…” v 4
- I Must Make A Passionate Search.
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?” v 8
- I Must Make A Productive Search.
“…until he finds it…” v 4, 8, 20
4. KNOW WHY TO LOOK FOR LOST PEOPLE.
