Action: Something Done Or Performed; Act, Deed
1. THE REQUIREMENT FOR ACTION.
- Serving: Pointing Others To Jesus.
“Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs
performed by the apostles.” v 43
- Uniting: Blending Others With Jesus.
“All the believers were together and had everything in
common.” v 44
- Giving: Helping Others Like Jesus.
“They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who
had need.” v 45
- Gathering: Meeting Others With Jesus.
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple
courts…” v 46a
- Bonding: Welcoming Others In Jesus.
“…They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad
and sincere hearts” v 46b
- Celebrating: Joining Others For Jesus.
“praising God…” v 47a
2. THE RESISTANCE TO ACTION.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in
humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own
interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Phil. 2:3-4
3. THE RESULT OF ACTION.
“…and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to
their number daily those who were being saved.” v 47b
