“Little Grace, BIG CHANGE”
Little People, Big God—Part 8
Acts 9:1-19, Acts 22:1-21, and Acts 26:1-32
July 27, 2014

1. RECALL THE PURPOSE OF GOD.
“He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but
everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

2. REVIEW THE PAST OF SAUL.
“…Then Paul said: ‘I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but
brought up in this city. I studied under Gamaliel and was
thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as zealous
for God as any of you are today.  I persecuted the followers of this
Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing
them into prison, as the high priest and all the Council can
themselves testify. I even obtained letters from them to their
associates in Damascus, and went there to bring these people as
prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished.’” Acts 22:2-5

3. REALIZE THE POWER OF JESUS.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has
gone, the new has come!”  2 Corinthians 5:17

“As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from
heaven flashed around him.  He fell to the ground and heard a
voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? ‘Who are
you, Lord?’ Saul asked. ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ he
replied. ‘Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what
you must do….But the Lord said to Ananias, ‘Go! This man is my
chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their
kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he
must suffer for my name.” Acts 9:3-4, 15-16

4. REMEMBER THE PRAY OF PAUL.
“Paul replied, ‘Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you
but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except
     for these chains.” Acts 26:29
